Professor Mauro Oliveira

Founder / Owner 

Mauro Oliveira received his 5th degree from Master Renzo Gracie, born and raised in Brazil, with a strong connection with the Gracie Family where he began his training journey in 1999. With decades of dedication to the art, he has developed not only as a high-level competitor but also as a respected instructor and mentor.

Over the years, Professor Mauro has taught Jiu-Jitsu internationally, including in Abu Dhabi and Japan, before establishing his own academy alongside his wife, a respected black belt Sabrina Barrera. Together, they have built a strong community centered on discipline, growth, and excellence.

As a competitor, Mauro has earned placements at some of the sport’s most prestigious events, including the IBJJF World Championships, American Nationals, and Brazilian Nationals. He has also competed in and won multiple superfights, showcasing his skill and experience at the highest levels.

Beyond his personal achievements, Professor Mauro is widely recognized for developing successful athletes. His students have captured medals at elite competitions such as the World Championships, Brazilian Nationals, American nationals and Pan Ams, reflecting his commitment to high-level coaching and technical excellence.

A dedicated husband, father, and professor, Mauro Oliveira is deeply passionate about teaching. His mission goes beyond competition, he strives to positively impact lives, helping his students grow not only on the mats but as individuals.

Professor Sabrina Barrera

Owner 

Sabrina Barrera is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and 2nd-degree under Master Renzo Gracie, recognized for her strong technical foundation, leadership, and deep commitment to the art. Her journey reflects years of disciplined training, during which she has consistently balanced her roles as both student and instructor—even throughout two pregnancies—while also managing her own businesses in the healthcare field.

With a diverse professional background in early childhood education, kinesiology, licensed massage therapy, and caregiving, Sabrina has always been driven by a desire to serve others and give back to her community. This purpose is deeply woven into both her professional and martial arts careers.

Dedicated to continual growth, Sabrina is committed to refining her technique while helping others reach their full potential. Alongside her husband, Professor Mauro Oliveira, she co-founded their academy, where she plays a key role in fostering a positive, empowering environment. Together, they have built a thriving community grounded in discipline, integrity, confidence, and personal development.

Sabrina is especially passionate about mentoring women and youth in Jiu-Jitsu, encouraging them to develop strength, resilience, and self-belief. Her impact extends far beyond the mats, as she strives to create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of her students.
